Doma Doma (土間土間) I'm Dying to Eat French Fries

I went to Doma Doma (土間土間). This is an izakaya that serves various foods and alcohol. There are so many dishes. We can order them one by one or as a course. I ordered the course. It included soybeans, daikon salad, fried dumplings, a Japanese omelette, carpaccio of salmon and mackerel, fried chicken, cream cheese and crackers and udon. And I had all you can drink alcohol and endless french fries for 2.5 hours!! The price was ¥2980 which is so reasonable, but actually this price was the reduced price by Hot Pepper. The real price is ¥3480, so if you go to this restaurant you should use Hot Pepper coupons.

Carpaccio of salmon and mackerel

The French fries that are all you can eat have 3 flavors, seaweed salt, soy sauce butter and corn pottage. My favorite is soy sauce butter flavor. I had 3 or 4 refills of french fries. And my other favorite dish is udon. This was seasoned with vongole clams. I had never eaten udon like pasta before. I recommend this dish to you.

The atmosphere was good. I sat at a table. The tables was a little way off from other table so I could talk with my friends without worrying about other tables. When I want to call a waiter I push the button that is furnished on the table. I don't have to shout to call a waiter . The waiter comes quickly and they are so polite. We felt so comfortable there.

Doma Doma is a chain of izakayas. I went to the Hashimoto Station shop. We can find Doma Doma restaurants near many stations. Dishes and beverages are reasonable and the taste is not bad. That's why I recommend this izakaya to students.

Movie Review - The Visit (2015)

I recently watched “The Visit”. This movie came out in 2015. It was directed by M. Night Shyamalan He made this movie on a very small budget because he produced his movie himself. The reason he produced it himself with Jason Blum is because he wanted to make a movie freely. He was bothered making movies for producers or sponsors sometimes, so he invested his own money to make this movie. The movie’s cost was only $5,000,000 (about ￥600,000,000 ). This cost is the smallest of his all the movies he has made.

 

“The Visit” is a kind of thriller film. M. Night Shyamalan and Jason Blum are good at making horror films. M. Night Shyamalan made “The Sixth Sense” in 1999. It was the biggest hit of his movie career. Jason Blum produced The “Paranormal Activity” series.


In this movie, an older sister and a younger brother are the leading characters. They went to visit their mother’s parents, who they had never met, to spend their vacation. There are 3 strange rules in their house: 1. Have a great time. 2. Eat too much. 3. Don’t go out after 9:30. And they told the children not to go into the basement. However, the children opened the door…


When I watched this movie I thought it was a horror film, but it is also a comedy a little because sometimes they are  joking during serious scenes. However it was really scary especially the grandmother’s eccentricity. When I was a child, I felt something was wrong in my grandparents house because their house is old. There was nothing anything though, but in this movie, something will happen.
